It's fair to say there's a little confusion surrounding the Victorian solar rebate. So, just to clarify, it has closed. However, the rebate will be re-opening from 1st July with even more on offer for Victorians - including:
Additionally, the previous rebate of up to $2,225.00 (up to 50% off the total system price) will be back on offer, but as a point-of-sale scheme. This means, from 1st July, you must apply for and receive eligibility confirmation. Once your installation date has been confirmed, the rebate and/or loan will be paid to the solar retailer/installer.
At eko energy, we are committed to this change, which is why we are deducting the full rebate amount (up to $2,225.00) off our final installation price NOW. We're being proactive, as we expect a huge influx of installations from 1st July, and don't want you to have to wait a month (or three) to have your solar system installed once the rebate re-opens.
All that's needed to get booked in for the July window is your initial (fully refundable) 10% deposit. It's your commitment to us, and our promise to you that you'll be one of the first (once the rebate re-opens), to have your solar system installed.
We highly recommend you register for updates on the Victorian Government Solar Homes Program by heading to www.solar.vic.gov.au.
On 1st July you will need to have your necessary documentation ready (Council Rates Notice, ATO Notice of Assessment or alternative proof of income, and our Solar Provider Statement) to apply for the rebate online at www.solar.vic.gov.au.
If you are serious about solar, now is the time to reach out, take advantage of our commitment to the (up to) $2,225.00 rebate, pay your 10% deposit and rest easy knowing once July rolls around, you'll be one of the first to have your brand-new solar system installed.
